Chicken Tikka Masala – Spicy & Creamy Favorite
A classic Indian curry with tender chicken cubes in a flavorful sauce – perfect for 4–6 servings.
Ingredients:
Main Ingredients
- 4 tbsp vegetable oil
- 25 g butter
- 4 onions, roughly chopped
- 6 tbsp chicken tikka masala paste (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 red bell peppers, deseeded and chopped
- 8 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 2.5 cm cubes
- 2 cans (400 g each) chopped tomatoes
- 4 tbsp tomato paste
Seasoning & Sauce
- 2–3 tbsp mango chutney
- 150 ml double cream
- 150 ml plain yogurt
- Coriander leaves for garnish
Preparation:
- 1. Heat the vegetable oil and butter in a large pot. Sauté the onions over medium heat until soft, about 10 minutes.
- 2. Add the chicken tikka masala paste and briefly fry until fragrant.
- 3. Add bell peppers and chicken cubes, mix well, and cook for a few minutes.
- 4. Stir in chopped tomatoes and tomato paste. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer for 15–20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
- 5. Stir in mango chutney, cream, and yogurt. Heat gently without boiling.
- 6. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve.
