Chicken Tikka Masala – Spicy & Creamy Favorite

A classic Indian curry with tender chicken cubes in a flavorful sauce – perfect for 4–6 servings.

Ingredients:

Main Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 25 g butter
  • 4 onions, roughly chopped
  • 6 tbsp chicken tikka masala paste (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 red bell peppers, deseeded and chopped
  • 8 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 2.5 cm cubes
  • 2 cans (400 g each) chopped tomatoes
  • 4 tbsp tomato paste

Seasoning & Sauce

  • 2–3 tbsp mango chutney
  • 150 ml double cream
  • 150 ml plain yogurt
  • Coriander leaves for garnish

Preparation:

  • 1. Heat the vegetable oil and butter in a large pot. Sauté the onions over medium heat until soft, about 10 minutes.
  • 2. Add the chicken tikka masala paste and briefly fry until fragrant.
  • 3. Add bell peppers and chicken cubes, mix well, and cook for a few minutes.
  • 4. Stir in chopped tomatoes and tomato paste. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer for 15–20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
  • 5. Stir in mango chutney, cream, and yogurt. Heat gently without boiling.
  • 6. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve.

This chicken tikka masala pairs perfectly with basmati rice or naan bread. Enjoy!
