Aluminum

The extraction of aluminum from ore requires temperatures above 1000°C in a multi-step process. The metallic aluminum, which is eventually used for packaging, is then obtained through a melting process at around 900°C. Aluminum has excellent barrier properties against oxygen and moisture, which is why it is often used in the food and pharmaceutical packaging sector. Its recycling properties are very good. Aluminum can be reused almost without any loss of quality.
